Study:

For Sunday, January 20: This week's lesson is on "Why is Jesus Christ important in my life?"
  • This week, while reading your scriptures, ponder the Savior and your testimony about Him. What experiences have made you grateful for Jesus Christ and His atoning sacrifice?
  • Please read the following scriptures and write down anything new that you may have learned through your reading: John 14:6, John 15:4-5, D&C 18:11-12, Helaman 14:15-18, Matthew 11:28-30, Alma 7:11-12
  • Bring your PP book and look over Faith value experience #5.
And don't forget that three of you were given extra assignments at the YW activity on Wednesday night.

See you Sunday!

Study:

For Sunday, January 13: This week's lesson is on how we can come to know our Heavenly Father.

Study and be prepared to share your thoughts, ideas, and feelings about the following items. It would be a good idea to write your thoughts down and bring them to class so you can easily remember what you prepared.
  • Think of your family and friends. What is the difference between knowing about them and knowing them?
  • Why is it important to know our Heavenly Father?
  • As you go about your week, think of an experience you have had that helped you to better know your Heavenly Father.  If you need some ideas to help you remember, the following scriptures can help (you don't have to read these for class, they're just here to help you get ideas or gain further insights): 1 John 2:3-5, 1 John 4:7-8, Enos 1:1-7, Mosiah 4:9-12, Mosiah 5:13, D&C 88:63-65, D&C 93:1.
  • Watch this video on prayer. How does prayer bring Sister Ogando closer to her Heavenly Father? What impressions do you have when listening to President Monson's testimony of prayer?
Looking forward to hearing what you have to share in our discussion!
